§ 1 Organizer, organization and scope of application
The organizers are ThermHex Waben GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “Organizer A”) and Fraunhofer IMWS (hereinafter referred to as “Organizer B”) from Halle (Saale), (together hereinafter referred to as “Organizer”). The following General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between the participant in the conference (hereinafter referred to as “event”) and the organizers. Any deviating General Terms and Conditions of the Participant shall not apply.

§ 2 Registration and confirmation of registration
A contract for participation in the Event shall only come into effect after the participation fee has been received by Organizer A and the registration has been confirmed in writing (exclusively by e-mail). Registration takes place via the Internet. Registration shall become valid upon written confirmation by Organizer A. Amendments and/or additions to the contract must be made in writing. Verbal agreements are only valid if confirmed in writing.

§ 3 Services and price
The participation fee is per person and event date plus statutory VAT. It includes the right to participate in the conference and to visit the associated company tours as well as to participate in the catering during the event breaks and for lunch, including the drinks offered during the breaks.
The evening event must be paid for separately.
The organizers reserve the right to replace announced speakers with others and to make necessary changes to the event program while maintaining the overall character of the event. Such changes do not entitle the participant to a refund of the participation fee, the provision of partial services or other expenses. If it is not possible to hold the event due to force majeure, currently valid measures regarding Covid-19, due to disruptions at the event location or for economic reasons, the participants will be informed immediately. Cancellation for economic reasons shall be made no later than 2 weeks before the event. In this case, the participation fee will be refunded. A claim for compensation for travel and accommodation costs as well as loss of working hours is excluded, unless such costs arise due to grossly negligent or intentional conduct on the part of the organizer. The organizer undertakes to take all reasonable steps to rectify or eliminate any disruptions in performance that may occur.

§ 4 Cancellation of the event
The organizers may cancel the event at any time. In this case, the mutual performance obligations of the parties shall lapse and the participant shall be reimbursed any participation fees already paid. Further compensation services of the organizer, such as already booked transport tickets (e.g. train, flight) or hotel costs, including any cancellation fees incurred there, shall not be assumed by the organizer, unless there is a case of intent or gross negligence.

§ 5 Participation fee
The participation fee is based on the date of registration (early bird until 31.10.2023), professional status (student discount) and participation in the evening event.

§ 6 Cancellation
Cancellations can be made by the participant at any time. This must be made in writing to the organizer A, using the following contact options: E-mail: kontakt@faserverbund-sandwich.de. If the cancellation declaration is received by 22.03.2023, the participation fee already paid and, if booked, the fee for the evening event will be canceled. If the cancellation is received after 22.03.2024, the entire participation fee will be due. This also applies in the event of a no-show without prior cancellation. Please do not forget to cancel your hotel booking in the event of cancellation. A substitute participant or a replacement for the participant can be named at any time free of charge.
In any case, a written cancellation stating the account number is required for the refund of the respective amount, taking into account the above-mentioned points.

§ 7 Right of withdrawal
There is no right of withdrawal.

§ 8 Copyright
All conference documents, presentations, lectures, etc. are protected by copyright. Their reproduction, distribution or other use is only permitted with the express written consent of the organizers or speakers.
Photographs and videos will be taken at the event and during the supporting program and published in press releases, social networks, streams, blogs, etc. By participating in the event, each participant or other person agrees that his/her image may be used free of charge for photos, live broadcasts, broadcasts and/or image/sound recordings for advertising or documentation purposes made in connection with the event for all current and future media formats.

§ 9 Liability
The speakers and authors, who have been carefully selected by the organizer, are responsible for the content of the individual presentations. The organizer shall only be liable for loss or damage incurred in connection with participation in the event for itself and its vicarious agents in the event of intent and gross negligence.

§ 10 Data protection
The organizer protects personal data and will treat the data provided by the participant confidentially and only use it in accordance with data protection regulations. Personal data is all data stored in connection with the participant’s name. The inventory data transmitted by the participant (first name, last name, billing address, e-mail address, etc.) will be stored by Organizer A in the participant file and processed, used and – if necessary – passed on to service providers commissioned for this purpose for the purpose of providing the service and for billing. The organizer shall take the greatest possible precautions to ensure the security of all participant data and shall not pass it on to third parties unless the participant has expressly consented to this.

§ 11 Miscellaneous
The feminine form is equivalent to the masculine form in these General Terms and Conditions.
